We’re delighted to announce that, after months of hard work, our new meadows overlooking Holes Bay and Poole Harbour are now officially open. We’ve created over 6 hectares of additional open space that beautifully showcase the wetlands and shoreline of the SSSI protected Holes Bay. A magnificent area for bird watching in the autumn and the perfect place to have fun all year round with our Giant Picture Frame and Stream Splash area (great for dogs wanting to cool off in warmer months).
There are benches to relax and enjoy the wildlife as well as easy access wide paths that connect Hamworthy right through to Poole. Great for cyclists, dog walkers, runners and families alike, there really is something for everyone in this beautiful new area of our Country Park.
It’s now time for us to excitedly look forward to Phase 3 when we open up the higher fields as well. We hope all our visitors enjoy the open space, and thank you to everyone who helped create it!
